The closest and cheapest port is Somali port in berbera which is close to Ethiopia. So, Ethiopia needs Somalia more not the opposite. They should be on knees to use our ports. Somalis have more options countries like Uganda/Rwanda....,etc

Obviously they should be on their knees but Somaliland is not recognized, so they immediately have the weaker hand in any negotiation between Ethiopia and SL. I agree with you, Ethiopians are pushing it but how can Somaliland stronghand Ethiopia?

Deals are always re-negotiable, so as they gain more influence in the international community they can use this to their advantage.
