Nearly 200 workers, mostly Somali immigrants, have been fired from a meat-packing plant in Colorado after staging a walkout to protest what they said were insufficient prayer accommodations, the company and Islamic advocacy groups said on Thursday.

After 190 workers failed to show up without notice for three days straight, “termination procedures were initiated" and those workers were dismissed, Martin said.

No doubt the company will want these positions filled with low-cost and subservient Mexicans whose only concern is not being deported.

American court have traditionally sided with Somalis in similar situations. Knowing this, Somalis have learned to intentionally provoke incidents like this to collect $$$ in a lawsuit. Might be why these skinnies decided to no-show for three days when they knew doing so would get themselves fired.

I think the courts need to reverse themselves. Employers shouldn't have to bare the costs and logistical challenges associated with accommodating these prayer rituals. If these people want to choose prayer over work, let Allah provide for them!

Why waste an employers time if you already know they can't accommodate certain things? Pick your workplace carefully, don't expect people to bend over backwards for you.

You have an hour a day to pray. Either they'll let you break your lunch hour into chunks or you pray two prayers simultaneously.

I'm sure there are hundreds more Muslims but other Muslims like Arabs and other Africans don't usually pray in the workplace like Somalis do. The Arabs and other Africans in America have lost their deen.

I can't believe it but I actually side with AJ on this you can't demand prayer breaks on top of that expect to go on lunch when the other employees go for their lunch.
