After the Somali withdrawal from the Ogaden, the Eastern Bloc considered invading Somalia outright and installing a new regime. At the time the Shah of Iran made it clear that he was ready to sent soldiers to defend Somalia.
Egypt expressed the same sentiment, as did Iraq at the time. You see when you respect yourselves, other Nations are willing to die for you;
