Researchers at the respected Sharif University of Technology in Tehran have created a computer simulator to test different scenarios for the further spread of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, across Iran.They concluded that in a best-case scenario — in which the government quarantines all high-risk areas, people strictly obey quarantine rules, and access to sufficient medical supplies is guaranteed — the country would reach the peak of the epidemic in roughly one week, and the death toll would exceed 12,000.

Yet that scenario is unrealistic in all three instances: The government can't impose quarantine, people will not obey quarantine rules, and the medical supply situation is catastrophic thanks to US sanctions and chronic mismanagement.

Accounting for those realities, the researchers estimate Iran will not reach the peak of the epidemic until late May, and they estimate as many as 3.5 million people could die as a result.

In the city of Qom, where Iran's first death was registered on February 19, workers have been busy digging graves. On March 12, the The Washington Post newspaper published satellite images showing hastily expanded cemeteries, with masses of graves being dug on acres of adjacent land.

Actually it is not, the Iranian population is estimated to be around 84 million.

People are literally laying on the streets. The death toll in Iran is estimated to be even higher than in Italy according to some doctors in Iran. Every hour 50 new patients are diagnosed and every ten minutes 1 patient dies, almost all the patients in the ICU don’t make alive according to healthcare workers there. The biggest issue in Iran is that the outbreak happened within the hospitals, which caused it to spread very radically among the workers thinking it is just flu.

If you guys have been analyzing the stats you will clearly see the dramatic acceleration of new cases the past few weeks. Subhanallah it took 67 days form the first covid-19 case reported to reach a total of 100K cases, and then it took 11 days for it to reach the second 100K cases and last week it only took 4 days to reach the third 100K cases! Wlh I predicted it would reach it this weekend and it did. The unreported cases are even higher.

Wow just wow we just hit the fourth 100K cases in just 2 fucking days, it only took us Monday and Tuesday to beat the record despite it trending the news worldwide we are still not getting a hold of it. Only Allah can stop this pandemic. People seriously needs to start listening and start taking action on this matter. I feel like an old hag nagging 24/7 but this should not be taken lightly we are seeing the US in the third place already it was just over a week ago and they were only around 2000 cases and now 53K +, next is Africa 6 Chinese dudes who got the Chinese curse escaped but got arrested when they tried to escape being quarantined in Uganda
