Between 2009 and 2013, while Hillary Clinton served as Secretary of State, the U.S. permanently resettled 31,000 Somali migrants on green cards, according to data from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

As Secretary of State, Clinton was in charge of screening visas for admission, which some foreign nationals could then adjust to receive green cards.

31,000 is alot and that was just during her 4 year term. How many of these 31,000 ended up making babies once they came?

Can you imagine how many are really in the U.S? The real wave was in the early to mid 1990s.

It's best to get this information directly through immigration departments rather than the census. I was not asked in the census what my ethnicity was so I don't know where they get these ethnicity numbers from when they publish the census data.

Somali numbers in the diaspora are underestimated.
