It's a video that displays a glimpse into one of the major historical shifts in Somali history. If you take that as "bs" then your allegiance to clan based rebel groups has clouded your judgement.

It was a bloodless coup in the sense that no civilians were killed in the process of the takeover. Some of the opposition you might be referring to were plotting drastic actions against the government and in my view the consequences of treason should be harsh i.e. imprisonment and death.

If you want some history lessons on the Barre government I believe you'd rather hear it from your uncle than me.

The beginning of the fall of Somalia :farmajoyaab: we still haven’t recovered from this rouge takeover

In my opinion the government was too forgiving, troublemakers and Ethiopian informants such as Aydid and Abdullahi Yusuf should have met with the firing squad not be let out of prison. But as they say hindsight is 20/20.

I agree the government was too forgiving, troublemakers and Russian informants such as siad barre should have been met with the firing squad and not be let into the army. But as they say hindsight is 20/20. Rip the first democracy in Africa, we still haven’t recovered from this rogue takeover.

Democracy is what got us in this shithole. Tribes feeling they are entitled to have a chance at the seat.
Why was there a need to change presidents if the country was doing good.
People using the qabil card as a way to get rich causef this hellhole

Every tribe deserves a chance at the seat, that’s why we were more peaceful under democracy, the president and government should be as a result of the people’s wants not a rogue dictatorship which all fail, the country wasn’t doing good because a dictatorship can’t do good it’s not possible and this rogue government takeover caused all the problems, if barre wanted to be president the right way he should have gotten support from the people and ran for office(for a limited term) that way the people are always represented and their needs met and voices heard

equal opportunity to run for office, if they get the most votes they should be in because they reflect the people, although I'm a fan of one man one vote and not the current system in puntland

are you saying siad barres regime was perfect :mjlol::mjlol:
it wasn't even established legitamantly and was a military dictatorship and not a civilian government,
how is that perfect:russ: it literally represented nobody since he wasn't voted in , basically the masses were subjugated into listening to his regime by force on some Kim Jung il shit(one of his role models) probably the worst type of government possible, kulaha perfect:pachah1:
