Also don't respond with typical deflections like "Calaacal" "you're just jealous" "Alshabaab" and "Amisom". Those are just deflections and doesn't answer anything.

I'm truly trying to get in the mind of an Slander and see how they see things.

So if Ogaden, Mareexan, Digil, Mirifle, Abgaal, Habargidir, Majeerteen, Warsangeli, Dhulbahanti, Gadabuursi, and even Some Ciise I've met can all come together and set their differences aside for the greater good and establish a Greater Somalia. Why can't the people of Somaliland join literally every single other Somali clan in setting petty politics and tribalism a side in establishing a nation.

I guess a somewhat of a legitimate response to this could be "we've already tried and we only got bombs dropped on us afterwards". That sounds like it makes sense at first, but it's really just a fallacy. The Siad barre government did that to Somaliland, and previous governments didn't. So you can't blame Somali governing when it was only one administration that's long gone.
Why it's a fallacy is because Siad barre didn't bomb the north because he hated their tribe but bc he was trying to crush anti regime rebels (Bombing your own civilians is never justified). But lets not forget he also killed people of Puntland in an attempt to crush rebels. I know reer Somaliland had it much worse but still reer Puntland also had pretty bad aswel, but you don't see them using that to gain independence are you?

Siad barre was defeated and Somalia broke into factions
The_armed_faction_of_-78a7d2.png

All those factions after the war wanted to establish a new Somali government that wasn't run by dictatorship, expect SNM who called for more separation.

Somaliland never existed before and was just the result of gaalo futocad drewing some bullshit arbitrary lines on a map and calling it a country. Yes you could say the same about Italian Somaliland being a fake creation too; which it is. But the difference is that every Somali living in Somalia believes Ethiopia Occupies Somali land and one day have ambitions of liberating those lands and getting rid of Colonial borders.

I, unlike my other colleagues think that Somaliland isn't just another State like Puntland or Galmudug, but a Somali territory that's similar to Italian Somaliland and Djoubti. Which is why it's one of the points of the the star
.

It's inevitable that a greater Somalia inshallah will happen, but every party has to be willing to be a part of it, no one should be forced, Somaliland will not be dragged kicking to join the rest of their brother. They have to want it as well. But I'm afraid that these odayaal have done a good job in brainwashing the youth of Somaliland with 26 years forth of propaganda.

To get rid of this divide and to appease reer Somaliland. I hereby call for a greater Somaliland and not a greater Somalia.

The goal of the SNM wasn't to separate:faysalwtf: It was to get rid of afweyne

The factions all wanted their fair share, we were going to unite again but other factions fought each other:ayaanswag:

The SNM declared independence after failed talks with the south

The warlords in Xamar at the time sent Omar Qaalib on fruitless missions to the north, it was no use.

Even marxuum Ali Tuur wanted union with Somalia, lakiin it was the failure of the other parties that lead to independence.

I believe in a greater Somaliland too, taking back all Somali lands from foreign powers and uniting them under Somali leadership.

I am going to sit back and watch the majeerteen users devour you for posting this :stevej:

I welcome Somali unity. However, why would the SL flag be the flag of Somaliweyn? Ironically the black star symbolises the death of pan-Somalism.

Saxiib watch this video.
@58:00 the interviewer asks abdullahi yusuf "what happened with other factions in establishing a unified state after defeating the regime" and abdulahi yusuf responded with "I met with SNM in Ethiopia and personally talked with siilaanyo and told him about joining forces after defeating siad barre" he then said "Silaanyo looked at me and said 'we're fixing a problem that was wronged in the 1960s', then I understood what he meant. He was after independence from the start"

It's good that you want a greater Somaliland saxiib but don't kid yourself in saying that SNM wanted to rejoin Somalia when secession is what they've always been fighting for.

In a perfect world this would not be bad even if it was the Somali flag I wouldn't have anything against a greater Somalia.(Yes I said it and I am a supporter of Somaliland).

Times are different now. Somaliweyn is not a bad idea but it's wishful thinking at best.

Djibouti has military pacts with France, Japan, US and China. Ethiopia are hellbent on keeping the areas it took from Somalia. How do you suppose we get back the areas we lost from Ethiopia and how to get Djibouti on track with greater Somalia?
