I've seen this one before and although not an accurate map it's not completely wrong. It drew fatagar all the way down to somalia which is obviously wrong. Notice how it calls the land trogloditica which is one of the names of the inhabitants of somalia in antiquity. There is this reconstructed turkish map dating back to the time of futuh. Instead of ajan or adal it simply calls the land somal which is the arabic way of saying somalia.

So, it's reconstructed from the writings of the Turkish Admiral. It's like me making a map of the 1500s Horn of Africa based on the information provided by the book Futuh al Habaša. I was thinking it was an actual Turkish map.
I don't have access to the original book so i can't say if there is an actual map or not. That being said there was a turkish traveller around that time that travelled to east africa and called the land west of yemen on the gulf of aden the land of somal or the coast of somal so this map would indeed be a good reconstruction.

Somal was a class name for the nomads, which eventually everyone used to describe our ethnicity

Yes ethnic somali went by many different names depending on their lifestyle.
I believe farmers were known as Tumal and nomads were Somal.
Eventually the name somal became the standard.

Kinda like how Arab just means nomad but now near all semites aside from jews call themselves arabs.

What do we have to do with the Pharoahs and Meroë? And it also says we worship Christ? We’ve been Muslim far before the 1500s

It seems to be describing some historical events or anecdotes involving ancient civilizations and individuals, possibly referring to the Troglodytes and their sufferings, as well as a general named Mofe who fought against the city of Meroe. The passage mentions a connection between Mofe and the daughter of the King of Troglodytes, suggesting a romantic relationship. As a result of this relationship, Mofe was able to conquer the city of Meroe. The passage also alludes to virtues, love, and cruelty.

The text then mentions some connection between the Troglodytes and the law of Mohammed as well as their association with a figure called "Prete Lani Tolfero," who is described as the great Lord of the Ethiopians. Additionally, there's a reference to Portuguese explorations and their expansion of territories at sea.

However, the text appears to be fragmented and contains sentences that are difficult to understand due to the presence of words that seem to be misspelled or out of context. Without more context or accurate wording, it's challenging to provide a precise interpretation.
