I will always stand with the oppressed against the oppressor, regardless of ethnicity, that’s what our religion teaches us. Nothing will ever change my stance or make me justify oppression; that would be beyond immoral.

However, I also won’t turn a blind eye to those who unjustly target Somalis with insults for no reason. They chose to respond that way when it wasn’t necessary.


If you're upset that those who were being openly disrespectful are being called out and exposed, it’s likely because you’ve become accustomed to mistreatment.

Seeing others clap back sensibly probably triggers a series of flashbacks to all the times you were victimized and lacked the self-respect to stand up for yourself. It probably reminds you of how pathetic you've felt throughout your life.

Thousands of Palestinians posted anti-Somali comments online. Not just "some". I have grown up and dealt with literally hundreds of Palestinians and Lebanese people unlike the vast majority of people here who have never met more than a handful in their life. I know exactly what kind of people they are. They are cruel to me due to my skin colour so I will be cruel right back at them. These people are visibly disgusted and uncomfortable when a Black person is near them and thats them at their best behaviour. I won't show humanity to those horrible people. Go cry about it.
