The video is slightly disingenuous by implying the transatlantic slavery had nothing to do with race when they were the ones that judged Africans/Negros inferior, and developed pseudoscience and race theories to justify it.

It's true that historically the institution of slavery was independent from race, but historically speaking slavery was often closer to forced servitude than it was the chattel slavery that occurred between Africa and the Americas.

The White Americans used religion, pseudo-science, and anthropology to justify slavery. Still till this very day African Americans experience racism.
