What were your first reactions the first time you saw a white person? You grew up in Somalia.

I watched White people in American movies all my life. Every where in africa people watch movies. But first time seeing them here in the USA, i went close to them and touched their skin to see if it is white paint

Lol this actually was my reaction when I started nursery/kindergarten. I cried and my mum couldn’t leave me for a week. Before then I never saw an Cadaan person according to my parents.

I was terrified when I saw my mother's employer, a guy from West Africa; he had a huge head, and he was as tall as Teddy Riner (french judoka, whose height is around 2,4m)

The first time I saw white people, I was like these black people coloured themself white
The first time I sat with a white person was this female immigration officer. And I was curious so I touched her face and some of the makeup was in my hand so both my mom and she started bursting out laughing.

But it proved my theory so I was thinking white people were coons until I was 8 years old and I had this science teacher and told him this and he also started laughing and explained to me that they were a different race. I was still in denial until I became friends with this white guy when I was 10 years old
