Agriculture thread

More farmland=more people=more relevance on an international scale Somalia doesn’t have much farmland that’s being used right now, a prime example is the lower juba and middle juba regions which are capable of much more than they actually produce.

south Somalia has an average rainfall pretty much identical to south eastern England which is actually the most densely populated part of the country.

Somalia doesn’t have the best land in the region but if used to it’s full potential I believe we could feed 200-400 million mouths and over accommodate our population boom

Somalia used to be known for its agriculture. Somalis were the number one exporters of bananas in all of africa and were known to trade fruits and vegetables. Schools taught agriculture and most people knew a bit about farming. Until the collapse in 1991. But now it’s returning and universities are implementing agriculture

The issue is most of the conflict areas happen to be in the most fertile regions. Once that issue is dealt with Inshallah their Is no reason we shouldn't see a widescale agricultural boom.
