He disliked MJ but at the same time he never really did anything for his hometown as well. The North was not as modern as the South was at the time. This is probably because of Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed since he saw him as a threat at the time. Siad Barre also never allowed MJ to have weapons. When he was returning to his hometown because of the fighting he didn't even have a place to stay. He only really focused on Mogadishu and the South. I don't know for sure why he hated MJ but at this time it is irrelevant because the guy is dead. Still, he helped develop Somalia.
