How is this propaganda? They control the entire south when you exclude most of the major cities. They even operate out of Baidoa and have their extortion system in place in Mogadishu, they blow up hotels like its nothing. Even in Jubbaland is full of Al-Shabab, they run all the villages there.

If Amisom wasn't there they could probably take the whole south. They are more resourceful and clever than any clan militia out their. They actually pay their soldiers regularly and look after them. I'm not saying they are strong, I'm saying they just a lot stronger than the SNA and any clan militia in the South.
