I saw a comment under a YouTube video that said afars were the rulers of the adal and ifat sultanates and somalis didn't live there until the 16th century.
Have a look at these screenshots and let me know more about the history around this time.

How did the encroachment of Somalis began in the 16th century, when the Adal sultanate came about in the 15 century and Somalis constituted key parts of the ruling empire?:ayaanswag:

The Oromo part is correct though, as they settled there later. :gaasdrink:

There are so much documented evidence from hundreds of years back, of Somali presence in the north, to debunk this. These people are lost. :ileycry:
 
They don't want to accept that Somalis had kingdoms and civilization because we're in a war. Despite the fact that prior to the war, we had one of the strongest economies and armies in the continent. I hope that we end up in peace soon.
