Debt relief is finally over, and the remaining debt has been written off. I'm starting to grow a soft spot for the USA. The announcement came a day after the parliament in Somalia, which is heavily dependent on international aid, approved a $1.36 billion national budget for 2025.

Tuesday's deal was inked by Somalia's Finance Minister Bihi Egeh and the US ambassador to Mogadishu, Richard Riley, who described it as a "great day".

It’s important to take a balanced view. The US is funding and supporting the genocide in Palestine, is responsible for the instability, mass destruction and carnage occurring in the Middle East.

They are also responsible for saving the lives of hundreds of thousands of Somalis who would have died of famine, and helping us fight against Al Shabab.
