Apparently rape, torture and kangaroo courts have became the new norm in Somaliland
due to the collapse of the judicial law.

For the past month, female detainees at Gabiley prison have complained of sexual violence, including rape, and other forms of torture and ill-treatment by the male guards at the prison. Female guards that report these incidents to prison authorities fear reprisals. The female detainees risk further torture and other ill-treatment during their detention.

The international community is now recognizing that Somaliland is run by security committees and the government’s use of the Security Committees is an important human rights issue in and of itself—they
have left hundreds of Somalilanders to languish in prison with no due process rights which led people committing suicide or attempting suicide on daily bases in notorious jails of Somaliland like Berbera
Central jail two suicide cases last week alone also Gabiley Central jail — where four women brutally
raped / tortured in Gabiley central jail according Amnesty International report
.

if the ordinary ppl don't challenge these issues, then these horrendous crimes will continue and they will suffer the most.

It's sad the way these sort of vile crimes are becoming the norm in some Somali territories
