There is honour in fighting with melee weapons. Thats how humans have fought most of our history. A better force truly wins.
Modern day warfare in comparison is an absolute horror. Either artillery hits you or a drone strike. Shitty way to go. You are walking point and bam, get by the enemy in a concealed position. Lets not even get to urban warfare which is basically a death sentence.
