Never understood this stance some of you hold. If you think about it, you're basically advocating putting the cart before the horse. What does it say about Somalia that our people, including most of our politicians, would rather invest their money in Kenya despite the drawbacks you've noted?

Is it their fault that Somalia is run by an incompetent Western-installed government that's institutionally nepotistic and corrupt? What guarantee is there that their money is safe, let alone that they'll be able to make a return when the FGS is unable to complete even the most basic functions expected of a government?

Instead of seething at Somalis who choose to invest their money in safer countries, we should focus on fighting for a government that can ensure stability, transparency, and security. Once these fundamental issues are tackled, the money will start pouring in.
