Repairing the soil will solve a big chunk of the problem.

However the reason it hasn't been done yet (believe me the world isn't waiting for you to finally graduate) is due to the stupendous costs it takes.

A couple hectares might be possible with a couple small investors.

However just repairing 10% of Somalia's land will take a national multi decade effort.

Not trying to be a downer. Just want to bring to attention that the current methods aren't as viable as you think.

Maybe advances in automation or biotech would provide more feasible alternatives.

Niger is way drier than Somalia and has 7 million more people. :lol:

But at the same time Niger is always at the bottom of every global socioeconomic ranking.
