You’re right actually. Take the kimono for example, today it’s considered quintessentially Japanese, but it has its origins in China though the Japanese nationalists don’t like to admit the huge influence China has had on Japan historically because of political reasons.

Sxb you cant compare the Karanle of today to the Karanle of 1300-1900. They used to be a big and powerfull qabiil who were projecting power in Hararghe highlands. Its like saying Jidwaaq was always a laangaab while we both know they used to be bigger than Ogaadeen.

Any proof for that? And Karanle Hawiye weren't all assimilated they defended East Hararghe and Maayaso and Dir Dhaba when the Great oromo expansion was going on.

It is wrong to ask a Somali who is your equal to submit to you. No Somali clan is of lesser importance than the other and the problem Somalis have to this day comes from this attitude of assuming other clans see themselves as of lesser Somalis and have no pride in their lineage. This is why some in Northern Somalia are deluded when they think they can decide the future of other northern Somalis simply because they outnumber them.


You must deal with Somalis on equal mindset or you get what you ask for. Mostly animosity and Somalis to oppose you.

If there is one persistent truth about Somalis no matter how far back you go into their history, it is how each clan and sub-clan never accepted to be subordinates of others willingly. It was either mutual defense agreement between clans, or temporary defeat of one which lead to a war for the defeated to come back and fight to victory. Cyclical wars until all parties accepted peace.


Treat Somalis with respect, and you get the respect back. Simple.
