The Arab Union is a proposed concept of a political union of the Arab states.

In the 2004 Arab League summit in Cairo, Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh proposed the creation of an Arab Union replacing the Arab League for a stronger political and geographical body, capable of dealing with world issues. However, the proposal failed to reach the League's agenda until the 2009 summit in Doha, when it was decided that it will be looked into and discussed.

At least we wouldn't swallow by east Africa community or the Ethiopian union that Ethiopia prime minister had mentioned in universal TV. Plus, Arab people wouldn't move to Somalia which will be extra blessings for us. They will rather move to Lebanon, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt than Somalia. Somalia demographics wouldn't change by this decision. In the future we would not need amisom force anymore, we will build our army. We can reactive our old defence arguments with Egypt.
