You spend the first 10 - 15 years of your life studying in school so later on in life you can get qualifications for a job to bring in stable income. Then you start your job, your fist dream is to get some independence, moving into your own house, buy everything you need to survive in your new house, (food , furniture, objects needed around the home etc). You settle down get some savings get married. Then after approximately 1.5-2 years of being married you bring your first child into the world. Your kids are a 24/7 job that needs to be taken care of. You will eventually watch them grow up and teach them the skills they need to survive in this world. You put a lot of time, energy and resources to bring up your child to be a healthy and functional member of society. Now your old and you've retired, you have made a retirement home. You have spent so much time and effort in creating offspring that you haven't really enjoyed yourself and accomplished all your wildest dreams and fascinations. Now your kids are out there living there lives in how they want, you are an old man. Was it all worth it ??

The only reason u have money is to spend it and how can you enjoy life if you have no responsibilities and you don’t personally look after the kids that’s the mothers job all you got to do is have fun with them and provide money for them and your wife

Idk, but when you do get older you will probably regret atleast having 1 child.

Kids seem to be a bad idea because of the way the modern world is set up. Back in the day you would get married in your late teens and would already have an adult occupation sufficient enough to sustain a family. Then when your kids reach upper adolescence you can retire and they can take care of you negating the need for 401k's and other retirement plans. This is a plan to reduce the birthrate and population of the world so the people will be weak in number and easy to control.

That's if you go after the easy 9-5 route and have kids right away

my plan is to be financially free by 20 and live life for 10-12 years

You guys act as if we have a choice. Tell a Somali parent that you don’t want to have kids and they’ll think you’re a homo!

And this is why women need to be mindful of who they have children with.

A father does not only « have fun » with his kids. He has to raise, mentor and teach them.
