I swear I think a lot of the Somalis on the West are just weirdos, competitive, negative or just embarrassing.

I used to think the fobs were cringey but I realize the ones in the West are the ones who are especially millienials.

Somalis who are cultured are truly the best. They don't have this weird inferiority complex to Whites or Black ppl. They maybe a bit racist and judgmental but they aren't try hards. You can't help but to respect them.

Some somalis in the West for whatever reason are very competitive with their own but kiss Black or another races ass. It's odd man.

When they go around saying and insult their own nation, are they aware that's how other see their dumbass. Are they aware that they make it harder for their own damn kids since no matter who they marry their kids will be half Somali. I don't see Somalis in Somalia acting this way. To actually address the prompt of this thread, I believe this is the end result of Somali parents having a simplistic approach to parenting that doesn't work for raising your kids for success in the West (in material terms not diin-related) and our naturally brash, upfront personalities not being suitable for this modern world based on soft power and smooth talking your way into rooms.

It's as if our biggest strengths natural strengths have been fumbled and/or not harnessed to help reach our first generation's best potential.

But observing how other immigrant diasporas like the Lebanese or Turkish communities have been in the West for longer and now have established franchises in their host nations, I believe Somalis can make their way up in the world. Besides the behavioural corrections that need to be made with these rash youngsters, it's mostly a waiting game.

The dust will settle eventually.

Most somalis in the diaspora don't even live around Somali bantus so I was shocked to see chicks bring them up.
