Sxb, don't mind @jusbrowsin. I actually like your post. Somalis and Eritreans we are walaalo. I respect how your government hasn't turned its back on Somalia, even though we Somalis have had some of the worst presidents in the world. I wish we had a president just like Isaias Afwerki. For instance, in 2000, Isaias Afwerki set a goal to be self-sufficient in farming and feed all Eritreans three meals a day. Mashallah for his leadership. So, keep posting; we have a lot to learn about Eritrea because we Somali's need culture improvement.

Eritrea is not a shithole.

its never good to attack refugees, especially when your own flee.

Watch your mouth—how dare you say that about Eritrea? Do you know that Eritrea has never received aid from any country because they refuse to be beholden to anyone? You don’t realize what’s coming to the Horn of Africa in the next 12 months. America has already stopped much of its foreign aid worldwide. What will happen to the countries that relied on that aid without ever planning for the day it would be cut off? If you think the region is in chaos now, wait until you see a population of 130 million struggling, with 15 million starving to death.
Now, imagine a country that saw this coming long ago. Eritrea recognized that foreign governments could cut off aid whenever they wanted, so it built its own self-sufficient systems starting in 2000. Now, it can feed its own people with products from its own farms. So tell me, how is Eritrea a failed state when it’s the only country in the Horn that doesn’t rely on handouts? Let’s not joke around—logically, Eritrea is ahead of Somalia by at least 20 years.

First, its self-reliance policy ensures that it remains independent, never compromising its sovereignty for foreign aid. Second, its strategic Red Sea location gives it unmatched geopolitical and trade advantages, making it a key player in global commerce. Third, Eritrea has maintained internal security and stability, unlike many of its neighbors that are plagued by conflict and instability. Fourth, its investment in infrastructure and mining has built a strong foundation for economic growth, with industries like agriculture, gold, copper, and potash ensuring long-term sustainability. Fifth, Eritrea has a strong national identity and disciplined population that prioritizes hard work and development over dependency.
While other countries scramble to survive without aid, Eritrea is proving that self-sufficiency is the only real path to stability. The writing is on the wall—the future of the Horn of Africa belongs to those who can stand on their own. Who’s really ahead now?
