Even great grandmothers are fed up with HSM

If you can’t understand the gist of it go learn your mother tongueI'm confused. What happened? What are they saying?
Man, the subtitles are too fast. It's night where I am so I can't hear it. All i got was "look at this pretty girl" at the endIf you can’t understand the gist of it go learn your mother tongue
You understood enough to keep learning by continuing to watch/read Somali inshallah.Man, the subtitles are too fast. It's night where I am so I can't hear it. All i got was "look at this pretty girl" at the end

I recommend you read some Somali books to improve. Many of your mistakes are in knowing when to use long vowels and confusing the sounds of X/H and D/DH.
If you focus on these areas next you will make a great leap in a very short timespan. The grammar and other things will improve by reading and speaking in general.
A genuine response, jazakallahu kheyre. Inshallah it turns out the way you say, can’t claim fluency without having it.I respect that you try to improve your Somali you have the right idea by forcing yourself to speak it.

It wasn’t bad at all. A lot better than I would have expected for a non-Somali.A genuine response, jazakallahu kheyre. Inshallah it turns out the way you say, can’t claim fluency without having it.
As the one typing it felt off. Should’ve typed it in English.

Can you suggest some books. I'm near illiterate in Somali and I want to learn. I've only read one children's book. Thank you!I respect that you try to improve your Somali you have the right idea by forcing yourself to speak it.

Somali is a special language in that its written directly how you speak so once you learn the small rules that i mentioned above and a few more you are basically literate. Can you suggest some books. I'm near illiterate in Somali and I want to learn. I've only read one children's book. Thank you!
Thank you Saxiib. I really needed this. The news looks particularly interesting.Somali is a special language in that its written directly how you speak so once you learn the small rules that i mentioned above and a few more you are basically literate.
A childrens book is good because it has simple dialogues keep doing that, heres a site that has alot of other materials. It also has some of the old schoolbooks from elementary to high school https://arcadia.sba.uniroma3.it/
Another thing you can try now is reading bbc Somali articles out loud. You can practice your cadence and flow over time and help refine your accent theres also very few typos and errors unlike social media content https://www.bbc.com/somali
nothing wrong with having a madhow husband with decent and honest job, and if him being a järeer was the issue, then you people look almost like them, which makes it a double edge insult..The Madow woman draped in KGS colours said at her old age 'xasan waa la wasa' meanwhile a ĵareer that doesn't make 3 dollars a day is her husband.
