He was taken from us in this holy month of Ramadan. Minister Hamza was killed in the attack yesterday perpetrated by the extremist group, Al Shabaab. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus. Amiin.

He served as State Minister of the Premier's Office for Environment. Before that he held many posts in the cabinet including being the State Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and also the State Minister of Finance.

He hailed from the historic port city of Barawe. He has served his nation well and made his people proud. May Allah have mercy on the martyr. Amiin.
