Gedo as a state has the best possible future of all Somali regions in the horn. Huge water resources, vast agricultural land, border with Kenya and Ethiopia, and you can barge all the agricultural produce down the river to Kismayo for export.
It has huge agricultural potential, plus it has oil there. Google lugh mandera basin.
Baardheera is the second biggest city in jubbaland after kismaayo and probably the 2nd most important.
Siyad barre government wanted to build a dam in baardheera before the war started. It is in a strategic location. And could power all of Somalia.

The problem with that thinking is, don't send the b22n to Ethiopia-Kenya, those markets are 'emerging' they got a long-way to go, by linking yourself to them, your development rate is linked also, so every step they move, u move one step. This means your chances of leaving 3rd world, highly depends on them on also leaving third world status, so you both grow equally at the same time. Good question. I think its a soil issue. The soil in Gedo is filled with minerals and they color the river.
Must be the soil, because for lakes it's algae that makes them green/blueish in clour.
Sxb I'll develop my regions like Jubbada Hoose, Gedo my Green Valley region with resources, Jubbada Dhexe etc. We'll compare In'sha'allah
