I must say it will be a very tough topic Mogadishu status. Non Mogadishu Somalis argue it's the capital of all Somalia not the capital of one clan, region, political party. Natives argue it's not no man's land and is a clan city just like any other town in Somalia, legally tho that argument unravels because other cities don't claim to be capital for all Somalis.

I think the best Mogadishu can get is territory status or some other unique status different to states. That's my prediction anyways. What they should do tho which is acceptable define the land which is federal and minimise land loss from future sprawling settlements, this will force people to utilise land plots by building higher due to land supply issues lol. So the land loss for abgaal will be minimised.

But being capital will always come with trade offs, their is no 100% win scenario, their will be losses at all times it's up to the locals to decide if the win n lose trade off is beneficial or not. I urge they don't hold onto impossible goals and lead to time waste.
