Being a coastal city, the all white buildings would complement the blue ocean. Pre 1991 Muqdisho was stunning due to the all white aesthetic. Believe the recent construction boom should implement the same idea.
The coastal districts are generally white. Most new buildings and estates are either white or a light colour that compliments the coast dabaqa cali mahdi, pearl beach etc
The interior districts is a different story where you find every colour under the sun. Pink, green, bright yellow waa reer baadiiye.
Villa Somalia and all govt buildings such as the ministries, hospitals, banaadir HQ, national university are all white as they were pre 91 so it may be implented in the future, who knows
Not just a uniform white color scheme, but the rooftops on many of the iconic buildings like Arba’a Rukun, Al-Uruba, the Central Bank, etc used to have a nice teeth-like pattern.
Not a single building in the last 30 years has followed that tradition.
