@Basra informative thread, Mashallah.

I hate it when people make excuses for the shortcomings of Africa. Africans blame colonialism on their problems ignoring the fact that colonialism ended 60 years ago. India had excruciating time with colonialism too. The British literally robbed them to the last cent and today it's a manufacturing hub and future superpower.

exactly Karim~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Africans want to remain in the dark by choice. But i think it is their saving grace to be in the dark. Dumb to protect vast mass poor populas

Furthest from it, this was so random. Imperialism has harmed Africa and Africans severely. It's not easy to bounce back from that, it takes time. Volionalism as well has resulted in arbitrarily drawn borders and that has caused lots of conflict. Of course there's much more though

I could agree with you but then we’d both be wrong

Dude, 80% of the known world was brought to its knees by the White race. The world has bounced back from colonialism except Africa. Border conflicts consistently happen on other continents too, don't make it like it's an African issue.

@Karim But are Africans capable of self governing?? We have not seen a country that has set precedent. If Rwanda, which comes close is plagued with corruption and inadequacies, no other african country can triumph! This is an inherent, genetic fault, not a circumstantial fault.

Africa's biggest issue wasn't imperialism but rather the fact that corrupt leaders took ahold of most nations after their independence. While most nations post colonialism had dictators, Africa had ones that did not have the interest of the nation in mind. While countries in Asia began developing, Africa was stagnant. You cannot blame imperialism for our shortcomings now, you can only blame Africa for it.

I don't think Rwanda is plagued with corruption. They practice zero tolerance policy on corruption and they have introduced online systems that have effectively combatted corruption by creating a culture of transparency and accountability.

Mr @Somali Napolean summerised the issue of Africa. Bad leadership hinder any chance of progress and development.

The black man refuses to admit that we lost this war on all fronts. To survive I have to go to their nation, learn their language, follow their customs and laws , school, justice system , healthcare and you get the point. How can we solve this without admitting defeat.

Boqor of Boqors. The man your wife fantasises of.
How the F*** do you blame his death on Africans and our inability to progress? That has nothing to do with the situation.

Furthermore he is not Nigerian or of African decent and is just another opportunist looking to profit from the continent. There are plenty of thriving Nigerian startups that have no issues.

Sit back walaal.

I was connecting the dots. Here is a man who is a foreigner, willing to invest in Africa, sure for for free-- but willing to invest and the Nigerian govt is making it hard for him to do that! I connected the inability of Africans to be a team player and not stop in the way of an investor! The murder is just side note.

There are no “dots to connect” His death first of all has absolutely nothing to do with Africa and is an American issue; I really don’t understand why you are trying to link the two on your post walaal.

Secondly Nigeria is more wealthier than his home country Bangaladesh so let us not assume that they “need him”.

What his business faced is hoops he needed to jump through if he was serious; It is to weed out the opportunists and the Nigerians are doing it very well. i am sure if an African decided to start an enterprise in Bangaladesh he or she would not have a smooth ride.

Developed nations in the past also ran by the same type of gangsternimo governance.

Africa will grow out of it. Especially as more indigenous Africans start businesses and coalesce and create interest factions more powerful than the current gangsters in charge today.

This is why Somalis are able to survive doing business in East Africa today. They all support each other in politics and security.

I agree but it usually takes a person hitting rock bottom to be willing to think and make life changing decisions. Have we not collectively as a nation hit our bottom? You get the leadership you deserve!

Excatly. In away walaahi i am grateful Africans will never progress. I need them to retain that soul that is missing here in the west.

The african brain is delightful to me because it does not know what homosexuality is. Vagina is the # 1 thing in the african men mind, which is amazing in 2020

Battyman thoughts goes against our dna-fibers.
Good food and good vagina will make a man throw away his ambition:hemad:
Dhibkeena wa taas.

I agree with all you said apart from the statement "will never progress" Too pessimistic for my flavor huuno. InshaAllah their progression will be organic. Improving quality of life should be #1 focus in Africa rather than just building tall skyscrapers and flexing technology.
