there is plenty of reason to hate France but there is no justification for hating Egypt or hating Arabs.
from a purely Islamic point of view- you should love and hate for the sake of Allah. people who are Muslims you should love them for the sake of Allah.
so if someone hates... say, Yemenis, or Afghans, or Somalis, or Arab Muslims, or this or that race of Muslims....
this sort of implies that something else is being given precedence over Islam, does it not?
Allah told us in the Quran (translation of the meaning):
O you who have believed, enter into Islam completely [and perfectly] and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.
-Surah Al-Baqarah 2:208
everything that contradicts Islam, everything that goes against Islam should be discarded and rejected. why follow Islam somewhat but then go against it to follow some other way at other times?? is there some doubt about Islam so it should be taken with a grain of salt and only followed somewhat? or should it be followed one hundred percent?
It should be followed completely. we have to reject everything that goes against Islam, Islam is perfect, Islam is always what should be followed and not anything that contradicts it.

I also want to mention.. as far as nationalism... a lot of anti-religious regimes used nationalism.... if you study the history of third world Marxist-Leninist regimes for example, you will see they very often made this big appeal to nationalism while pushing an anti-religious agenda (Cuba and Nicaragua are two examples I'm familiar with but it went on in other regions also)... if you look at Ataturk, he did what he did while raising the banner of nationalism... Hitler... if you look at what happened... nazi ideology pushed an anti-religious agenda... a lot of people try to deny this but if you study the history, it is very obvious they were undermining religion....
there are many historical examples of governments trying to make their population less religious while raising up the banner of nationalism.... I'm not against patrotism or even necessarily against all forms of nationalism... but secular nationalism is a very common vehicle for an anti-religious agenda... historically it is very often a tool to cover an agenda of moving a religious population away from being religious... you get the people all hyped on nationalism of *insert-whatever-group-here*... and meanwhile you undermine their religiosity
