I never called our culture anti women. In fact I want Somalis to start wearing their cultural attires instead of those large scary jilbabs! I lover everything Somalia. What I hate is the arabization of our country and the erasure of our culture.

And yes I'll be wearing a guntino. I love them. I remember the first time j saw hoyo wearing one. She looked so beautiful and I was so amazed.

When did I do any of that? The current epidemic of Somalis throwing on huge jilbabas everywhere from The USA to Finland is strange and does not resemble our culture at all.

To my knowledge Girls arent required to wear arab style jilbab or abaya as long as they have clothes that arent too tight or revealing its fine

youre criticizing them for wearing jilbab (which isnt even arab culture they wear overhead abayas nt somali style jilbabs) when you dont wear dirac and guntino around all your life. btw do you also complain about men wearing suits in somalia instead of white sheets as well?

I've been to Somalia. Plenty of men walk around in sheets or macawis not. However when it comes to women they're all flying around like voldermort
