Somalis in SA are jileec they should do what the indians do get yourself a couple shotguns and shoot up any mothafukka that tries anything

Wrong the EU's predecessor the EEC was created before the OAU.

So you're saying Europe is more cohesive than Africa? Yes I agree

Now I want to be balkanizing rival African states, you see an economic deal right now, I see instigating civil wars and then rising as the dominant power in the Horn as a unified Somalia. Any regional integration plays into Ethiopia's hands. It sees Eritrea, Djibouti and Somalia as it's backyard currently.

Trade is something I support personally and east african version of NAFTA would be brilliant but that's as far as I'd go in the short term (30 years). No restrictive political entanglements because Somalia needs to look to the Indian Ocean as well. China, India, and South East Asia are all in view and with rapidly growing economies.

You might define Pan-Africanism differently but your fellow comrades see it this way

A difference of 6 years in formation yet the end result are as divergent as possible, that's my point. Also the EU is primarily based on Western Europe who have had and will always have a shared destiny. Even socialist Scandinavian countries resist joining and only accept trade agreements with the EU Destabilizing other African states will only end up shooting yourself in the foot, you brought up Ethiopia which is an excellent example they destabilized Somalia and locked Eritrea out of the IC so now they have hit a cap on their development until we both improve (hence a 15B infrastructure deal to improve trade in the Horn). Trade is the lifeblood of nations and without it you are doomed to stay poor and broke. You're almost there sxb maybe not now but definitely in the future.

That is the historical definition of Pan Africanism not the working definition under the AU, only delusional people wish to unite Africa as a single country when their own nations can barely tax a village without the money disappearing.

Then you aren't a pan africanist, you just want economic integration and trade. I agree but before that occurs completely Somalia has some interests to take care of first. Geopolitics currently has us at a massive disadvantage. So in negotiations we're obviously going to concede the most and gain the least. Imagine having to sign away all rights and claims on the galbeed just to get access to the Ethiopian market in a free trade deal? That's unacceptable

Incorporating our occupied population into the nation and quashing separatism and rampant qabilism is important. A strong decentralized Somalia is what we need so that we aren't at each other's throats. This current iteration of Ethiopia must go down the drain and balkanizing it is key otherwise we'll become even more of an outpost for Addis Ababa than we currenlty are.

Other Africans are not your friends they're your enemies. Realize this and you'll get far, you have rose tinted glasses on right now. Either they are convenient/circumstantial allies like Egypt or they're dead set against you ie Kenya. Unless you have a mutual interest don't count on them

Your a Somaliweynist :leon:

Sxb I'm being realistic in my dreams, Somaliweyn has a slim chance of happening anytime soon since many Somalis are suspicious if not outright hostile to each other. In Somalia every time we make a little amount of political progress we end up electing a dude who somehow advances us in some ways all the while regressing our overall political harmony. You are a smart dude and understand Somalis can only work within a decentralized governance system yet a vast majority keep on pushing for increasingly centralized rule. In one to one trade agreements will Somalis have to concede many things but an overall free trade framework underneath the AU? That allows us to reap the benefits of free movement and free trade without having to give up a single thing because lets be honest, who in their right mind will freely settle in Somalia and live there except Oromos fleeing to Arabia and the occasional Yemeni dodging houthi rockets :mjkkk:

Ethiopia is out of our hands and its existence will continue to hinge on whether or not it can scrounge up Western support.

For a proper somali state to ever function 40% of our land can't be outside of the 7 shaped thing that masquerades as "somalia". I'm talking for the benefit and furthering of our ethnic group. I'm not delusional we can't invade like 77 that will never happen again unless the Nile dispute heats up. Or the US chooses to change it's mind when it sees the oil and minerals in the Galbeed would be better controlled by a Somali state rather than Addis Ababa.

It's small steps to assert the current territory and consolidate it properly. SLand needs to come back but gain considerable autonomy and PL can opt for a similar relationship with Xamar.

NO free movement, I don't want Oromo expansion and demographic replacement

Why don’t you support Somaliland’s independence?

The exceedingly high amounts of maturity and competency required for that from all Somali politicians across the Somali peninsula makes me believe America's Space force will conquer Mars first :tocry:

Because it doesn't benefit our geopolitical situation as Somalis moving forward in Africa. I don't like PIM either
Me too. Somaliweyn has so much potential wallahi 5 major ports, great farm lands in the south + Dawa River, high abundance in Kalluun, rich in uranium and maybe oil etc etc all of that won’t be possible cus of arab daddy fairytales :mjkkk:

@Sleepy Hollow isn't dumb, you're the one who can't type a proper fucking sentence. Stay out of a discussion if your single digit iq can't comprehend it.
