Beel - Community, Settlement

The traditional meaning of Beel was a Community who live together and number around 50 to 60+ people who permanently reside in a place and are either from different tribes, from different regions or the same tribe. Beel can also be used to refer to a group who share ancestors and lineage who live together in a settlement. Traditionally a Beel was founded because of several reason one being wanting to settle in a prosperous region and being able to feed their livestock or to come together.

Beel does not mean Qabiil.

This is one of the many words who’ve now become victims of misuse.
