Bevin's plan of Greater Somalia

In 1946, the british foreign secretary Ernest Bevin proposed a plan to unite all Somalis in one nation. He was able to get his government Britain on board but the other great powers (America, Soviet Union, France) were against the plan and it failed.

I think they feared this new Somalia would be too much under the influence of Britain and they did not want this. Also the US just liked ethiopia and supported their claim
