Gadabursi or Borama script created by Sheikh Abdurahman Sh. Nur was the only Somali script used to conduct business correspondence in the Somali peninsula. It was namely used in Borama and Saylac by merchants in control of trade. The script was also used in his social circle and taught to his pupils at his Madrasa.
