How does that make you loose hope.
Have you looked at some of these arab countries - it wasnt long ago they was considered a shit-hole desert dwellers.

Now look at them.

We literally have the same natural resources and roughly the same quantities that helped them develop their country - but you're trying to say we can't even count on ours for mere 15 billion- what kind of Retardation is that.

Plus 1 way or another you definitely need the money for the development of key infrastructure, without it you can't trade with others effectively and remain a shitty 3rd world country for the foreseeable future.

you understand you have to take some risks for successful outcome right.

And who the hell raised you lot to be so damn negative all the time.
:mindblown:

I present you a specimen of the species I warned you about. Pure idiocy walking on two legs.

If we can't figure shit out by ourselves like most of the developed world did then do you really think that resources/money falling from the sky would automatically turn us into a productive and prosperous society?

Have you been to the Emirates or Saudis Arabia?

The GDP per capita is so high because of a couple trillionaires that skew the numbers.

The rest of the population is living of hand to mouth in some government job that doesn't provide any value.

Let's say we'll use the oil money more wisely...

By the time we pump any up it'll be too late. 90% of the demand will f*ck off to EVs.

I didn't lose hope because of that.

Instead, it's the retards like you who spew the same lines of bs and actually believe that makes me lose hope.

I don't need a country filled with precious resources as long as it's made up of hard-working, intelligent people.

However, the more I see xoolo like you the more I'm starting to believe that we're stuck with neither.

Jubbaland and Puntland should secede to form a country. Stranger borders have existed. Yaa noo diidi? JIM PIM
Its unacceptable for mogadisho to get money and weapons under our name that they then use to invade and sabotage us. Tomorrow, if we were to declare independence, who would stop us?

You sound like an absolute delusional nacas mate.

The fact that you are this opposed to Somalia getting a loan tells me You have no idea what you're talking about.

Please tell us how the Somali government is supposed to effectively run the country with the ridiculously low-low budget of less then $350 million a year - and this saw a slight increase from the previous year and approx. 1/3 of that was donations from friendly countries.

Just to give you a comparison.
Kenya has budget of 29 BILLION dollars annually and Ethiopia I think is at 13 BILLION dollars.

For a country like Somalia that's lacking in almost every imaginable way - with crumbling to non existent infrastructure ontop of that fighting against AS - 350 million gets you nothing and nowhere.

If you're against the loan what solution do you have o wise one.

If you weren't cognitively challenged then you could've came up with a dozens of ways to fund government without external loans.

To help you out, here are a few.

  1. Fix justice system and sign into law; contract & property laws so you could regulate and tax the thousands of business that would spring up because of this regulatory certainty. That's a couple billion at least.
  2. Nationalize arable land and lease it to qualified commercial farmers in return for storing part of their harvest in silos for drought insurance. The government would gain another couple billion from that indirectly if it's over 100,000 hectares. Two birds with one stone.
  3. Create a special administred zone or industrial zone outside of Xamar to sidestep local corruption and centralize accountability, security and streamline government services. If done properly each square feet in that zone would be worth an ounce of gold. Easily tens of billions for the government in direct revenue while turbo boosting the local economy.
  4. Create a shariah based government bond for the diaspora at extremely favourable long term rates. Much better option then taking a loan worth 200% of our GDP from some foreign vulture banks that would prefer us to not be able to pay for it so that they could dictate how we run our economy. No doubt that $15 billion will be spent on hiring overpriced foreign engineering companies.

If N&N had the public's mandate then I would keep my opinions to myself but idiots like you tend to forget that the current government got here by foreign intervention and bribes.

The topic is about loan not aid money.
N I don't understand this victimisation thing you got going on.
Puntland is part of Somalia, of course it will get it's fair share of development funds through the use of that loan.
Loan or aid doesn't matter unless someone will pay it.

Pipe down.

You are reasoning from the perspective that you have a stable and United country and you don't - far from it.

You also don't have time.
You're entirely reliant on foreign countries, who can turn from allies to hostiles at any moment.

You have to play the cards you're dealt.

Acknowledge the fact that our government has almost no control and no presence in large parts of the country. Some states basically operate on their own and why wouldn't they becuz the central Gov hardly provides anything for them.
(This is not due to corruption or incompetence but due to lack of funds.) I can't give you what I dont have.

Sxb your ideas are not bad but with regards to Somalia is too wishy washy.

Between qabilist fu*ktards, AS, droughts, hostile countries, unemployment being through the roof, extreme poverty all over.

My suggestion to you is come back when you have realised your people are inside a burning house.

Debt relief = good
Borrowing money at the Moment = good (it means your gov can actually afford to be gov and start delivering the necessary services).

If you disagree then i don't know what you tell mate - go to your local doctors and get yourself checked.

Let's not dwell on this.

Look at it from my perspective it is actually fun.

N&N got this in the pocket by being somali. That's it, the whole trick after the hero minister beileh. They went out to the international stage and declared that the somalis are on their way back to their rightful position at the world stage.

Imagine just imagine when the nation United's under the federal somali banner and actually work toghether.

Hence why western countries acknowledge that the United Somalis are a power house in the region and in the continent.

Hence why they gave ogaden and nfd to our neighbours to keep us occupied doing other stuff they don't like. However the dynamics are slowly but surely changing to our advantage.

Just came back from the doctors like you advised. He told me I'm fine but warned me to stay away from doqons because they're contagious.

So this is my last take on this.

The solutions I put forward are tailored for N&N's current situation other than the farming option.

That latter can be put together by making a deal with Jubaland since I'm sure they would love a green light to go ahead with investing in agriculture there.

Right now no one in their right mind would dare to develop a large farm without permission from Xamar even if Madobe controls it.

AS is a minor threat when it comes to large commercial ventures. At worst you just pay the local branch to stay away.

The private sector has plenty of ways to deal with AS and could actually be the best way to combat them.

The other options revolve around the territory that Xamar controls.

There are nearly 3 million citizens in the Banaadir region.

That's a potential market of 10 billion+ (GDP per capita of 3-4k in Xamar once jobs start appearing).

Even if the government doesn't control all of it...

As long as they create laws to guarantee property rights then the private sector could take over and take care of their own security.

The uncertainty regarding government regulation is what's hampering development atm not AS.

People aren't investing because they're more concerned about the bandits in the government that could steal their shit by making up allegations or random fees.

They can pass these laws within weeks since the federal Parliament seems united atm.

Before the ink on the law is dry you'll have thousands of investors from diaspora on the first flight to Xamar.

May I suggest going to a different doctor, perhaps a specialist you delusional fu*ktard.

I can't be asked to go back and forward with you.

So let's just - you are 100% correct - Somalia as a country is united and singing happy tunes - things are going really- really well for us, AS is nothing but a minor threat to everyone, we don't have foreign soldiers paid for by foreign nations patrolling our streets. Our gov currently has all the funds and means to implement changes all over the country, those figures you pulled of your ass man I love it, its also legit becuz a genius like yourself said N therefore it must be true.

What else...
You are also 100% correct people fear our bandit gov more then AS.

And lastly we need shitty AID money but a substantial loan with the intended use of developing our country and delivering the necessary services like schools, hospitals etc. to poor people is a big NO-NO for you - I now understand you and you my friend are smart sane person.

Now go forth and spread your wisdom my son
:salute:

Yoo

Eel eh?
It's thread like this that make lose hope.

It's already bad enough that the previous generation burned everything to the ground.

Now you have a delusional generation that are this retarded.

15 billions dollars of free money will save us kulaha.

100 billion dollars worth of oil will pay for it kulaha.

Tooth fairy will pay back her arrears to me kulaha.
You should try to explain to these lost souls where they have gone wrong buddy, + thankfully these lot on here arent a real representation of somali youth abroad.
