Somaliland isn't puntland. How can you tell us Isis took over Qandala when it is next to bosaso your regional capital.

Having international militaries having bomb runs in Somalia without checking with the government is insane.

If you are able to read Somali, I urge you to read this 20 part article on the history of "urur diimeed" in Somalia. It is anonymously written by a very well educated former member of AIAI who fought all over Somalia in the 90's. This anonymous writer is the most authoritative according to most people who lived through what happened under Al Itixaad, the first terror group in Somalia. Every thing related to religious violence in Somalia begins and ends with Burco and Sheekh Cali Warsame.

I'll check through this article at a later date, who're those who claim this is write the most authoritative source on what happend during the 90s. Also religious violence has always existed in Somalia, it's earliest use in the modern era began with the Sayyid.
