Puntland officials responsible for Buhodle have defected to Somaliland government yesterday. The minister in charge of public works and housing, Hon. Abdirashid Du’ale Qambi who hails from Buhodle greeted the officials upon reaching Burao, Togder’s regional capital. The officials include Ayn regional governor, Mohamed Husein, Ayn mayor, Hon. Suleiman Adan Dheere, lawmakers and elders who have deserted from Puntland. An official who spoke on behalf of the deserted officials have confirmed that they have come to Somaliland after president, Musa Bihi has extended an invitation.

Buuhoodle is already in Somaliland hands actually, just last year WADANI opened up a party office and watching videos of the town every car has the Somaliland licence plate, the hospital is MCH Somaliland. Just no somaliland military presence as they are stationed outside the town in the province and the base in widh widh

Actually There are many SL license plates in badhan too, doesn't mean its in SL hands as you know Puntland president visited badhan a couple months ago and SL politicians went crazy because there was nothing they could do about it because SL doesn't control badhan, also the locals confiscated all voting boxes in buuhoodle at the request of puntland's vice president. widhwidh? maybe but not buuhoodle.

I wouldn’t say they are pro Puntland just anti secessionists in general. Rer Buuhoodle are only loyal to Buhoodle first and foremost

reer hagar and cali geri are the big boys, the rest are yaryars, reer hagar are more dominant in the town while cali geri more dominant in near by places like widhwidh.
