That is Daalo, Caal Madow and Galgala mountains part of the Golis mountain range extended from Sanaag to Bari. It receives higher annual precipitation so that is why it is green

my family never wants to venture out of hargeisa and think burco is an amazing feat to reach when exploring somaliland. these places exist in our country we need to do tourism here more and not in no cadaan lands

There are huge limestone deposits nearby so you could probably start a commercially viable iron smelting plant if there's some decent amount of commercial iron ore there.

@Laandhere many people might not know but those Calmadow and Golis mountain range stretch as far as Qanadala and Murcanayo and beyond, this picture was taken in Murcanayo 13 miles away from Qandala and is similar to Calmadow mountains in the bottom.

whats wrong with calling the land being discussed somaliland? in the thread i only saw people rightfully call it somaliland either by themselves, or to correct somalis from south who purposefully call it somalia and lie to themselves and ajnabis when doing so. somalilandnimo is not some internal affairs to be hidden and discusses internally, we want to be a country and be noticed as such, so when ajnabis admire somaliland, we need to let them know they're admiring somaliland. somalia iyo somaliland ha noolaato, labadhooda

Those mountain range strech from cerrigabo all the way to bari. Even then harti who live on those mountains in the sanaag part dont consider themselves somaliland! But its really unintelligent to make something ss interesting as this about tribe.
