The historical sites in zaylac city are being vandalized. Already the djboutian government is paying the workers in those sites but that did not stop the damaging of those sites. This is not for politician debate just awareness.

All historical sites should be protected even those of the ancient religions of our ancestors. Any historical piece of antiquity should be preserved for future generations so they can trace the footsteps of their ancestors.

why shall something built by outsiders who came to our land be idolised and referenced as some kinda special history..... walaahi everything who was built by non somalis should be demomilised and burned down. f*ck the turrks and otomans maxaa naga galay they came to our land and when they landed they probably did unthinkable things to our people.

ps.. we should be like isis wiping out all kufaar stuctures from their land.. .. even a masjid... it can be rebuildt again

All historical pieces of antiquity should be preserved because history (whether established by foreigners or natives) has contributed to the making of the modern Somali. Do the future generations not have a right to know what you know? History is history whether it's dark and makes Somalis look bad, there is a lot to learn from history.

Also, if foreign history is terrible then I think much of Somali history is terrible. Somalis accepted Islam due to contact with Arabs and much of our history and language and culture has been touched by Arabian culture and history. In fact, the Macawis is a South East Asian thing which we adopted due to trade. Somali history is riddled with foreign influence like pretty much every history on the planet. The British preserves the Roman monuments and building which were left behind by their invasion. History is knowledge and those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.

One last thing. What is your quarrel with the Ottomans? They never invaded Somali land and whether you like it or not they actually aided the Adal sultanate in fighting the Ethiopians who were aided by Portugal.
