There's nothing to debunk. He didn't provide any primary sources. All his sources say is that Arabs used to obtain slaves from Somalia. It is well known that cities like Zeila and Mogadishu had slave markets. But who said those slaves being sold at the markets were ethnic Somalis?
What is this stinking midget stupid Arab thinks Somalis were slaves while we never once slaves to nobody in our history. Isn't his people slaves to Iran and use to be ruled by them

The guy is confused. Slavery in the middle east didn't have any particular ethnicity these very same omani or persian raiders also raided yemenis who became slaves themselves in the gulf or sometimes in northern somalia. In other words arabs themselves would enslave yemenis in the gulf, persia or oman. Anyway yemenis in some cases are the worst in this regard since as recent as the 20th century they would sell themselves into slavery.

The book says they were kidnapped while looking for a job in the gulf, not at Somalia per se. Shows the danger of traveling by yourself in a hostile territory.
