Trudeau was seen as the lesser of two evils and it seems as though he won re-election through strategic voting done to prevent a Conservative victory. The most personable and well-liked candidate for Prime Minister belonged to a third party with no real hopes of forming government.

Trudeau isn't that great imo, but he's immensely better than the prime minister before him

The entire impeachment thing is crazy - sometimes I wonder if the Democratic political machine actually wants Trump to get re-elected so that Hilary Clinton can run again in 2024...between this and the Mueller investigation, they're turning Trump into a martyr a year before the election. He controls the Senate and the Supreme Court - the Democrats will achieve nothing with this impeachment but galvanize his supporters into thinking that he's a victim of a conspiracy

What the Democrats should be doing is putting their support and resources behind the candidate most likely to beat Trump in a dog fight, which isn't necessarily the same as the best candidate
