Butiyaalo, was a very important town in Majeerteenia and even further back in history. The Italians, couldn't take the land during ground-wars and they suffered many defeats. So they turned to aerial bombing campaigns.

This is why the North-East is scattered with ruins, they purposefully destroyed our Kingdom.

We can rebuild we have pictures and local people that know the layout of each structure

Even if it's unesco it's cadaans who choose the sites so obviously they pick their own stuff. Somalia has at least 3-4 strong candidates and maybe we can get something now that we signed fhe UNESCO convention.
Zeila masjid, Mogadishu old town and mosques, tombs in the north and laas gaal are potential world heritage sites with good chances of being recognized.
We also have some natural stuff, raas xaafun should be a natural heritage site

The Turks absolutely Butchered Aarb’a rukun in moqadishu. I don’t know why it was ever allowed
