It was in fact over one house owned by orphaned children that that dawlad tried to steal. The government was actually on a spree of stealing land and houses from owners of various clans including Hawiye.

The full story is MSB gave that family from Cabuudwaaq that land in Mogadishu under the cover
of "daanta guud" land. So it is bit blurry.

nationalized. It is not fair that some government soldier's family cries in Cabuudwaaq about it when the land
never belonged to them to begin with. I have to agree with Ilka Xanaf he was right to make that decision.

So they're doing this on a clan by clan basis? It's haram and internationally illegal to not notify people of the law in clear writing before seizing property or arresting people. You can't just play cowboys and Indians with the law. The laws should be very clear. Do we even have housing laws?

have the most individuals who stole land or were given to them unlawfully in
Mogadishu, one stole it during Siad Bare's reign and the other under USC in
1991. It is basic statistics, it is like asking why are there more African Americans
in jails in USA compared to whites, well because.... they commit more crimes.
