I have seen this phrase in many chatrooms and comments but still dont understand the meaning. Is it people born after kacaan or before kacaan or after the kacaan fell.

The Ciyaal Kacaan are two fused generations born between 1935 and 1975. Its like taking the baby boomers and generation x and bringing them into one generation.


This is the arguably the most degenerate and Daqan Xuman generation to every grace the Somali plains. In the cultural revolution this generation was poised to change Somali mindset and usher in an era of Somalinimo that was a dream of our great grandfathers.

The Ciyaal Kacaan are the cancer to Somali mindset. No matter what region or tribe they come from; they have many similarities when it comes to mindset.

The Ciyaal Kacaan mindset is to lie, be ignorant, never help your brother, never trust your brother, put your calool(stomach) above your nation, be lazy, cut corners, denounce science and reason, contort the religion, abandon children, divorce and destroy the household—just to name a few.

When the Ciyaal Kacaan left somalia after the war; they all adopted the same mindset. Take welfare, live in single parent households, put education on the back burner, deny a sense of purpose and never uplift eachother and share ideas and themes to address poverty among them.

This was the most beautiful generation of Somalia and within 30 years they have become the destructive force within Somalinimo across the world.

I will write a book and have it translated in Somali.
