Construction of two important mountain roads in Sanaag

Ceerigaabo to Karin-Daalo is 16 km, African Development Bank,Igad & Save Children provided 1,000 barrels of asphalt, and the remaining 600 barrels will be brought by local residents
ceerigaabo and most of Sanag will depend on the port of Maydh. The days of dependence on Berbera and Bosaso are over.

The second road in black is the Bohal ceerigaabo to cershiida to karin tuurwaa road, which will connect it to the coast in laasasurud and gold mines in cershiida and farmers in karin tuuurwaa And other places This road was built 100% by local people, without assistance

War ma waxaas ba igu faanaysa?

Do you think we're incapable of digging through mountains? We made a 52km dry road connecting Harawo and Dambal, as well as a 33km feeder road in Baki to connect to Borama by digging through mountains.

More important than this is building a road to the coast and a port But you always say that Somaliland or HA prevents you from doing this Despite this, they in Sanag will rely on Maydh instead of other ports And no one will stop them
And the mountains in Sanaag It is higher and building a road in it is more difficult

The road to Baki is a stepping stone. Eventually, we will build a road to the coast. It's inevitable. It's a fact that the Habar Aual elite have been sabotaging our development, but that doesn't mean it will stop us.

Maydh is a jetty, and I must remind you that it was proposed and signed off by a former Samaroon Minister of Planning who oversaw SDF, which is under a Habar Aual director. Why do you think Maydh got the jetty but not Lughaya? It's a clear cut case of sabotage.

Now everything is easy
We were also under pressure, but it has ended now
We will build a road between Hargeysa - Dhagaxbuur and Hargeysa-odweyne-burco and ceerigaabo and maydh
But the most important thing is the xarshow and Cilaamato coast East maydh It is rich in gas and we will extract it I don't know when but I hope it will be in my lifetimeπŸ˜‚

The landscape looks pretty challenging for road building, but it doesn't look like that stops them. This is a great effort by the locals. It's looking great.

I hope I live to see the day when wildlife corridors will be a norm for remote roads in Somalia, though I understand the concept of habitat fragmentation/loss caused by excavating mountains for road construction is not a priority back home at the moment..
