No way we are on the same level as THE dinka :gucciwhat:. Those guys pocket billions of oil revenue in day light and spend it abroad. They plunder the taxes and everything. The country legit gets nothing especially these days. Whatever the country makes it's spent within months for luxuries and other stuff. The problem with somali politics as people already mentioned, if you aren't corrupt people will be like what the hell is wrong with this guy, they might send you to turkey for mental treatment with the quota turkey gives to poor people in Somalia. They will tell you to calm down, and if you try going against them or act crazy, you will silently be killed. Each corrupted person works for themselves but if you touch them, it's an attack on their qabiil. and 1991 baa loo noqaah. So better work with them too.

We got a lot of space for improvement. But I don’t buy trust this type of data either. The UK Conservative party that is currently in charge has been extremely corrupt. They have essentially been looting tax payers money. So I take these types of graphs with a grain of salt.

As you should, this information is nothing more than a 'perception' index it isn't based on real tangible data they have available to them.

But with that being said Somalia didn't have an actual government from 91-2012, so when they started charting from 2012 and the FGS formed, we remained at an 8 until 2016 and steadily increased the past 4 years to a 12 in this particular groups charting.

For context in 2009 we were at a 1.1 in their chartings, which means there was nothing.

Somalia was always corrupt, from day 1 of its making. We had leaders (minority, at most 3) who may haven't took money for themselves, and was more power orientated, but corruption was more like a cultural "norm". Not a single government since independence was free from corruption.

Since 2006, the creation of the CPI, Somalia was in top 5 of corrupt nations, every year running. Since 2006, we fluctuated from lowest to the best of the lowest, to the lowest. And it is a fact. North Korea jumped by 10 ranks, and Afghanistan 11 ranks, and yet we lack at the bottom. We only gained 4 points since 2012, and that's says a lot

Only a handful of people was convicted of corruption. Most languish free, awaiting for a election bid, to continue this trend :manny:

Somalia is the most the transparent country with its corruption but not the most corrupt country on earth.

What difference is there between Farmaajo paying $200,000 to an MP and a company in the US setting up a Super PAC allowing for unlimited undisclosed funds to be used in a variety of political causes.
