If he didn't want his sons to join and they didn't listen to him and went anyway, that isn't Silanyo’s fault. It's nobody’s fault. People die in civil wars and men and women take up arms. That's just the way it is.


Somalis tend to rely on their kids to look after them when they grow up. When his sons died (decades ago) he should have realized he needed to hustle because unfortunately a large part of his support system in life was gone. Again this isn't Silanyo’s fault.
